This night will have a much different sound than last time’s cumbia clash. Expect to hear some fresh baile funk electro tunes & live action from Brasil and shaking afrobeat funk and hiphop from Tanzania & Kenya!
We have special guest; João Brasil hails from Rio de Janeiro and plays electronic dance music from Brasil, seriously electro-tropical!

Pata Potea are an afrobeat band from Tanzania & Kenya. They play a mix of Eastern African *Benga* guitar style with some Swahili hiphop; funky guitar, heavy drums and acrobatic dancers. Pure music for some serious shaking! check their rehearsal video on our site.
We will play our global sounds and colourful visuals in a hefty mishmash as Rebel Up! crew. All global styles in tropical or folky spheres, always without borders! We also get joined by Smartin of the good local Elephant Soundsystem crew & Fuerza nights. He’ll play an afrolatino mix of everything tropical; mestizo, samba, afrobeat and more.
We will have a donation box for Brazilian organisation IBISS, who do street projects in the Rio area. More info: www.ibiss.info
