Last Sunday: Stand By Party @ Stairway to Heaven

Last sunday in Stairway to Heaven, the goodbye party for the Standby music shop happened in full effect. As usual, I arrived late, so I missed Moskovicz, Cooper, Esmeraldas, Slurf and Vamos. Ellen was playing when I entered...Ellen Ten Damme did a flashback to The Pretenders. She really looked like Chrissie (she looked pretty good actually) and really did her best. But I found it boring. I did wanna take a picture of her, but I was blocked by truckloads of other people with cameras and videocams, who had the same idea. Sjako!(see photo below) was joined by Rene van Barneveldt aka Tres Manos (in photo to the right), the man responsible for the Urban Dance Squad guitar grooves. Currently he's more into playing slide, which he masters also pretty wel. The whole band was actually made up out of super crafty musicians. People who play which such ease it makes you jealous. Sounded really tight, hoovering somewhere between bruce springsteen and jimi hendrix. Good band, but a little bit too much of a redneck-sound in it, in my humble opinion. And in spite of some technical difficulties, Hotlipzz & Jane ROCKED the place again & again ...(and of couse, see photo below)....
And a BIG thank you! to the people of Standby for the party and their work at the shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Technical difficulties? Dat heb ik dan weer gemist zeker? Haha, grappig. Vonden wij.
