Adrian Crestani showcases the vocal talents of Errol “Flabba” Holt – better known as a bass player with the Roots Radics band and for being part of the Morwells but he cut some stunning vocals in his own right. Some heavy roots tunes! And as usual plenty of DJ, dub and next vocal cuts thrown in. This isn’t a complete discography but is a great overview of a fine singer who was overshadowed by his equally fine bass playing skills.

Fifties Cafe @ SJU Huis by Naald & Kraak

Andere tijden in de SJU. De jaren 50 staan bekend als kleurloos, degelijk en saai. Maar, there's more to the fifties dan burgerlijkheid en een benepen moraal. Dit bewijst Naald en Kraak: een muzikale terugblik naar voorbodes voor vrijheid! Op donderdag 7 december a.s. is het eerste Fifties Café in SJU Jazzpodium in Utrecht vanaf 21:00 uur. Dus ga niet na de koopavond naar huis, maar kom voor een biertje, wijntje of een kop koffie naar SJU. Naald en Kraak zorgt ervoor dat je de stress om een verlaat sinterklaasinkopen snel bent vergeten..

Circle J News!

Circle J heeft de tour met The Levellers erop zitten en zitten middenin de tour met de Spaanse folkpunkband, met doedelzak, Skontra. Enzonder overdrijven: Skontra rockt als een bezetene en verdient het dan ookdoor jullie allemaal gezien te worden! En Circle J is natuurlijk ook bestleuk ;-) Jullie hebben nog drie kansen om Skontra samen met Circle J aan hetwerk te zien:
Donderdag 7 december, Parkhof Alkmaar (toegang gratis, deuren open 20.00uur)
Vrijdag 8 december, ACU Utrecht (toegang 5 euro, deuren open 21.00 uur)

Circle J speelt een week later, op 15 december, nog een show met deBeverwijkse band Quality Export in De Bakkerij in Castricum.

This tuesday is the launch of the first DUB INFUSIONS eve that will be celebrated every month in 2007. DUB INFUSIONS is all about BASS! Everything in between dubstep, dubtech, hiptech or any other dub: Dub Infusions is going to present it! We proudly start our new event with french monster dubsters HIGH TONE, who are solely responsible for the best dub albums released in the last 5 years and who are truly AMAZING in a live setting. A true feast for the eye, great muscianship and very, very good music! Tonight you can expect anything in between dub and drum 'n bass.
